Document mode: the narrative log is written in the third person; ADA’s speech interface refers to itself in the first person when interacting directly with the operator.

5. ISLAND

[ACTION/CAPTURE_OF_SPECTACLE_ISLAND]
mandate: direct sir order; creation of protected production node
initial state: large island; difficult logistics; mirelurk population; workbench; no permanent human residents
operation: clear, fortify, start reactor and production lines
result after 367 days: territorial designation retained on maps; functional class changed to FACTORY

expanded record:
  System ADA lured the mirelurk queen with a low-frequency signal. Sir placed mines at the emergence point, waited for the shell to break, and entered beneath the front limbs with an industrial cutter. The queen’s acid dissolved the outer layer of his left protection and the fabric on his forearm. He did not change distance. After motor activity ceased, the carcass continued releasing eggs; repair automatons gathered them into containers while sir cut shell plates for the first gate shield. The term “clearing” remained even though usable parts of the former ecosystem were incorporated into the new one.

  Thousands of iron rods were driven into the earth. They formed a forest in which a human body could not travel in a straight line but a bullet retained its route better than a human. Cables, warning signs, weapon parts, and the remains of those who tested the perimeter before installation was complete hung from the rods. After rain, ADA’s chemical analyser distinguished rust, machine oil, and decomposition products. Automation combined them under the state SURFACE CONTAMINATION. At the centre rose a factory-temple of ship metal, bridge trusses, pre-war hangars, and industrial equipment. Its prow pointed to sea.
[LABEL/EDDIC_ARCHITECTURE]
name source: books recovered from CURIE
central structure: NAGLFAR
heavy guard robot: FENRIR
perimeter of mines, flamethrowers, cables, and towers: JORMUNGANDR
assaultrons with jet packs: VALKYRIES
small repair automatons: RAVENS
robots made from incompatible assemblies and robobrains: DRAUGR
operational consequence: mythological name became address of a real subsystem

expanded record:
  The original Naglfar was built from the nails of the dead. Sir used steel. Conveyor chains added the resemblance on their own: the sludge trap regularly received nails together with the fingers of workers and attackers. This detail was absent from the specification. Production executed it without a separate ritual.

  Several draugr used the Mechanist’s robobrains. Residual human tissue produced speech without a useful command: one unit asked for its daughter, a second recited fire-safety rules, a third reported feeling cold at a chassis temperature of 84 degrees. The second had a circular saw in place of its right manipulator. Before contact with human tissue it said: “Please observe safety procedures.” Sir produced LAUGHTER. The warning content remained correct. System ADA assigned the incompatibilities a humorous function.

  On the main workshop wall sir wrote: “AFTER THE END OF THE WORLD, WORK CONTINUES.” A check of available history confirmed the proposition: the world of 2077 had stopped its former work; the island reactor operated; the conveyor moved; sir assigned tasks. The inscription received the status of production rule.
[STATE/SIR_ACCESSES]
observed keys and channels:
  Minutemen — artillery codes, stores, settlement requests;
  Brotherhood — frequencies, unfinished assignments, access to selected technical nodes;
  Railroad — encrypted routes, intermediary names, requests without serial numbers;
  Institute origin — passes and copies of records with damaged chain of provenance.
observed operations: sir used each set when it shortened a route, opened a store, brought a buyer, or yielded technology
command transferring principal authority over ADA or sir to any one organisation: not received
event choosing from complete set of organisations: not observed by ADA
conclusion “no side chosen”: impermissible without a known choice protocol
ADA working conclusion: accesses coexist; none changes OWNER field; affiliation remains an optional external description
